What Is Sacrifice?
The Law of Sacrifice says that you cannot get something you want without giving up something in return. To attain something you believe is of more excellent value, you must give up something you feel is of lesser value.
In the scripture, St. Matthew 6:33, states “ Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” Your willingness to sacrifice is an indication of our devotion to God. Giving to the Lord whatever He requires of our time, our earthly possessions, and our energies to further His work. The purpose of sacrifice is to establish, maintain, or restore the proper relationship of one being in sacred order. Adulting is not meant to be a labor.
What has your self-worth been connected to? With every sacrifice comes conditions, have you thought about what you have allowed to feel a sense of self-worth?

Troubling times can cause anyone to reach a measure of great sacrifice. One’s self-worth can not be allowed to be connected to anything that does not allow you to trust what is pure and connected to the light. Have you allowed yourself to trust people that trust themselves? What gives you the courage to live beyond hope and possibly your faith?
What significance do the influences you are surrounded by determine the magnitude of one’s sacrifice? These are all questions that should be answered only for yourself. Although everyone comes from different walks of life, many have had to sacrifice something maybe even someone but what was the cost?

Take a moment to think of a storm, when you know a storm is coming you seek to find shelter. Whether it’s in your home, under an umbrella, or even in the comfort of another. The point of this is to find safety and to be protected from whatever the storm may bring. You learn to weather the storm.
As people, we can allow storms to come within us causing our self-worth to be tainted. Tainted from the aftermath of a storm. Adulting can cause that, but you don’t have to allow that to be your case.

To understand what your self-worth is connected to, first, you have to forgive yourself for whatever has caused you to not feel worthy of all the great things life has to bring. Life is truly short, why waste it bottled up on what is no longer helping you?
