Fotografiska New York, originally a Stockholm-based photography museum in Germany, is now located on Park Avenue in Manhattan. Formerly a Renaissance Revival-style church mission house known as “The Church Mission Building” , Fotografiska is built on displaying the world’s best photography. It’s main focus is being a safe haven for inclusivity and expression.
In the six story museum, you will experience a world of modern art through photography. Each floor showcases the art of photography through emerging artists and international names.
When you enter you are greeted and checked in, or you have the choice of exploring the first floor, where the Cafe´, and The Shop is located. In The Shop you are able to purchase a portfolio of images from the various exhibits archives and curated items of many designs.
On the third floor, is where you will enter into the series from Anders Petersen Color Lehmitz, it’s a raw, unfiltered look at the late 1960s in Hamburg, Germany. Including never-seen images, and handwritten post notes from the artist. The fourth floor allows you to see over 120 images from Andy Warhol Photo Factory, spanning Warhol’s career with rare, and never-seen photos. Offering up an intimate visual diary of his life and work. It’s been said that “The exhibit cements Warhol’s legacy”. Following is artist Cho Gi-Seok with Coexistence, with this being his first major exhibition it showcases a range of work from him through 2018-2020. The exhibit gives a gentle, pure essence of beauty and harmony, symbolizing a refined atmosphere.


Lastly, the fifth and sixth floor where you are first introduced to Sarah Moon At the still point. Which was curated just for Fotografiska by Moon, showcasing films, books that were produced over the last thirty years, and a selection of photographs. Then follows The Loft where Jerry Schatzberg 25 & Park is an exhibit that gives a look into the studio where in the 1960s, a New York photographer and director, Schatzberg photographed many of his most extraordinary portraits.
